As someone who started writing books later in life, I love digging into the history of Northern Virginia.

My work began as a personal quest to understand the layered history of places like Ravensworth and Buckland, using mapping techniques to show how these areas changed over time. I carefully research and create maps to piece together stories that fill in missing parts of our local history.

This website is a place where I share what I’ve found. I invite you to explore the Articles and discover the interesting connections between places, times, and people’s lives in our area. By sharing these stories, I hope to help keep our local history alive and inspire others to learn more about where we live.
